The shopping experience
Cheeper® has created a web service to facilitate the "Purchase by Recipe" process, easily configurable into any supermarket web portal.
When the users are making a purchase in an online supermarket, Cheeper® provides suggestions of recipes that they could make with the products that they've just added to the cart, that is, during the purchase process. For this functionality, it is necessary for the online supermarket to send the products that are added to the cart dynamically to Cheeper®, with a totally anonymized user identifier, preserving at all times the privacy and data protection laws (GDPR) of the users.
There is also an option to search for recipes right from the supermarket's web site, using criteria such as the type of event (romantic dinners, parties with friends,...), category (starters, main courses, desserts, salads, tapas...) or the difficulty of the recipe (low, medium or high).
When a user selects a recipe, they can select the number of people, uncheck ingredients they already have at home (for example "salt" or "vinegar") and press the "Add ingredients to cart" button. Cheeper® provides all the product identifiers and their exact amounts to the online supermarket, to add them all in 1 single step to the user's shopping cart.
All recipes are provided by Cheeper®, linking quantities and product identifiers with those of each online supermarket, so that the latter can completely stop worrying about all these processes and their maintenance.
Cheeper® has also linked all the necessary products to follow certain diets, and it includes product bundles, where a user can buy multiple fruits, vegetables and other products at once.
